Laboratory by Daniel Mayrit
The laboratory took place on Saturday, November 26
Among all participants we developed collectively a visual project intended to its unique existence online, from the conception of the idea, to its conceptualization and, as far as possible, to its practical realization and deployment on the network. Each participant brought a computer, mobile, tablet, GoPro, drone or any other device able to produce images.
Madrid (Spain), 1985. Mayrit holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the UCM (Complutense University of Madrid), and in Photography from the University of Westminster, London. He teaches photography and develops workshops within several places of Europe. He has displayed his work at festivals such as PhotoEspaña, Noorderlicht or BelfastPhoto, and on international galleries such as the Photographer’s Gallery or Huis Marseille. His book ‘You Have not Seen Their Faces’ is the winner of the latest edition of the Aperture First Book Award at Paris Photo 2015; that same year was also shortlisted at Arles, Kassel and Photoespaña.
